1. A friend of the musical score but also of animals, I raised a pet starling for three years! This faithful companion even whispered (or rather, whistled) into my ears the melody of my Piano Concerto No. 17...

2. First, a child prodigy and later a prodigal genius, I went through life like a shooting star. I leave more than 600 works behind me, including a famous Requiem that remains unfinished.

3. Although I'm remembered for my humour, I nonetheless harboured serious beliefs. My operas are spiked with criticism of the nobility and allusions to Freemasonry.
